Making Money Fast is all about State of Mind

Anyone reading this remember a school kid who set up a single web page online and called it the million dollar homepage? (a simple Home Based Business idea!). Basically, this clever, though cheeky, little cash spinner turned out to be one of the few ideas that really did see the netentrepreneur Make Money Fast, Easy, and without Effort. There was actually very little preparation other than that of getting the world out. The idea was to have 1,000,000 pixels on a single page and sell them for a dollar each. Advertisers could buy as many pixels as they wanted and place a banner or company logo on the page which would link to their site and thus drive traffic and potential customers to whatever product or service they were selling online at the time. In no time at all, this internet moneymaking venture sold all one million pixels putting a very nice cheque into the pocket of the kid. He said he was trying to raise money so that he could go on to higher education, but the rumour is that the moment he got his big fat cheque, he went shopping instead, and never did head off to university. Good on the lad, and bad luck for those who bought the pixels.

Sure there were plenty of visitors tot the page (more out of curiosity more than anything else), and sure, some attractive banners, especially the bigger, better designed ones above the fold, saw some of this traffic visit their pages, but the point is the visitors to the million dollar home page were not targeted visitors for those who paid to advertise on it. Most were what's known in the business as virtual tyre kickers, and never really buy much online at all.

Those who do shop over the internet generally know where to go to get whatever it is they want, and don't visit some online creative BUZZ which generally attracts others wanting to know how to make money with the computer, rather than those who just want to shop!
